like i said, by the time they're making full use of the 360s processing power, give or take a year, computers will be much better.

i dont need to overclock my computer, but i have a watercooling setup, so why not take the extra 15-20 fps there for the taking. isnt hard on my equipment. also, dont forget that these games "i need to oc my computer for" are over a year old, and the graphics technology used in them is years old. check around on some of the games, chip and video cards in development for pc's now, then come tell me how the 360 is worth every penny.

now that thats all said, if i couldnt afford a good gaming rig, and had no problem with bill gates, i would consider buying a 360, after the price drops a couple hundred.

Ive played the game call of duty 2 on the 360 and its sweet, never really played a xbox but got pretty familiar wit the buttons quick. Graphics are pretty slick but i expected more, but an improvement.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

lol my computer OWNS the original xbox, no comparison at all. go on and spend your 4 or 500, we can resurrect this thread in a few months when pc's pass it up. how long can you expect this "superiority" to last?

i think i spent about 150 on the motherboard, and 250 on the chip and 300 for the gig of ram, built the watercooling setup for about 100 bucks, then a few months back i spent 450 on the video card. of course that doesnt count sound cards, keyboards, speakers, hard drives or monitors, but i already had all that. thing is, its a computer, it does computer tasks, even while im playing games. how much did your xbox and your computer together cost?

fact is, if you have to have the newest and the best (for a few months anyway) and dont mind contributing to a shady company get the 360. im just fine with what i have.

no your computer will not be that much better, and your debate is irrelevant because you have yet to use an xbox 360 on a hidef screen.... dont talk until you've used it

also an xbox 360 that looks better then any pc right now costs less then a flagship graphics card... now which is the logical choice?

i suppose you have played a 360 on hd, not just viewed the screenshots on your computer? you know that computer screens are all hd, and pc games have been hd for years right?

as for the price of the 2, try doing spreadsheets, video compression, or making a living off of your xbox.

but i apologize, you guys are right, the 360 is made by microsoft, which clearly makes it superior to any computer ever made or that ever will be made.

Who even brought that up? I guess if you want to spend all that money on ur computer to make some wicked awesome FPS spreadsheets, it was all worth it... right?

Havnt had one problem with my xbox360 yet....my computer on the other hand //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

actually i have

no not all of them are

dosen't mean they look near as good

your right, my laptop could never do SPREADSHEETS, video compression... and i could of course not make a living off of it... never. and what is your graphics card going to accomplish? making errors in 3d renderings? my laptop can do that, thanks.

wow, what a last ditch effort to win an argument. by bringing up something nobody cares about, and that has no context at all

you're too much man... i give, the new xbox is the greatest thing since the type-r. the computer age is over, thus beginneth the era of the 360.

you're simply not grasping what im saying. the xbox owns gaming performance right now, thats obvious. nothing can touch it for the price or even double the price. but that is RIGHT NOW. microsoft rushed to get that thing on the shelves before xmas and before the ps3. a lot of them have bugs or defects.

most pc gamers already have pretty nice gaming rigs. to us, its not $400 xbox 360 performance vs $2k pc performance. its $400 360 performance vs $400 video card upgrade performance. what i am trying to drill into your thick *** skull is that computer technology constantly advances, and prices constantly drop. 6 months from now, before the designers are even able to take full advantage of the multithreading and the new shading techniques of the 360, 400 dollars will get you a mean *** video card, from the next generation of pc cards, which is on par with the 360s.

jump forward to late 06 or early 07. the ps3 has been out for 9 months and i'm sure will have a lot of good titles, and pc's will have passed up the 360 graphics wise, while retaining the ability to argue like assholes in car audio forums, in the background of your games if you like. by then the 360 will be 200-250 and alot easier to justify purchasing.

but hey if you've got a shitty computer, 400 bucks to spend, and you want to play some awesome looking games, whether you have HD or not, get the 360.
