All 360s have the ability to output component...almost everything does.
HDMI and component are completely different technologies, but the only advantage to HDMI for video is the satifaction of knowing your connection is "all digital"
Test after test by experts show there is no gain going from component to HDMI however, which makes me question why you would upgrade to the 360 with the HDMI version in the first place? There is no difference, keep that in mind.
Is this the version with the hard drive?
EDIT: Oh yeah except for 1080p, forgot about that. Component only goes to 1080i ...sorry
oh yeah I guess I should say HDMI has no benefit for video as longa s you dont have a 1080p tv
