Xbox 360 $200 Shipped

All 360s have the ability to output component...almost everything does.

HDMI and component are completely different technologies, but the only advantage to HDMI for video is the satifaction of knowing your connection is "all digital"

Test after test by experts show there is no gain going from component to HDMI however, which makes me question why you would upgrade to the 360 with the HDMI version in the first place? There is no difference, keep that in mind.

Is this the version with the hard drive?

EDIT: Oh yeah except for 1080p, forgot about that. Component only goes to 1080i ...sorry

oh yeah I guess I should say HDMI has no benefit for video as longa s you dont have a 1080p tv

Component can't run at 1080p. The highest it can carry is 1080i. Only HDMI and VGA can do 1080p.

Since you believe you're running at 1080p.. I'll tell you that the average person can't tell a difference between 1080p and 1080i.

HDMI runs digital video andaudio so you only need one wire, instead of running optical wire for digital audio and components wires:D

true, it gives you that option, but what they are telling you is that if you are not using an HDMI cable and you are using the component cables, the cables themselves only support 1080i

meh... i can't tell between either... even 720i is almost the same..

lol.. there is no 720i..
Anyway, it will still show 1080p, but you can only use it with component or VGA.

What kind of TV do you have? And if you do have an HDTV, why would you even want to look at a 360 in 480 interlaced?

Umm.... component CAN do 1080p.. ahemmm...

Component is better purely b/c it has been out longer... HDMI is new tech w/ great potential, but component is "better" ATM... Though most TV's only except 1080p through HDMI, component CAN do it.

Isn't progressive just better while running a game? apposed to i? I have heard 720p is better than 1080i for GAMES...

How big is your TV??? The smaller it is the effect is even LESS than that on a large screen which is still negligible...

I have a question though..

Why the hell is the Xbox so **** shitty at playing DVDs??? I mean they look like fuking shit and it runs loud as hell...
