I don't really see anything that bad about the X1.1000.1D, compared to other similar power output amps. As above, it's not huge but it seems well enough made to me...

The funny thing is if you go back to when they first started making amps, they started out making good amps. Most of them were Fosgate rebadge/reshelled, and all the Strike and Storm (originally the amps were all Strike or Storm I believe) were all making more than rated power. The early amps never looked that nice (well a matter of opinion) but they were fine amps. The split power ones were an interesting idea too, but never really caught on and they stopped doing that--ashame.

It's the whole Bolt (yellow) and F&F (multi-coloured) series crap they started making later on that gives them the bad name. Those amps are fairly poor but look at where they are sold (Wal-Mart, etc.) and look at the prices on them. They aren't meant to be anything more than low-end, crappy amps, LOL.

I've never really found anything wrong with anything in the Strike and Storm lines...

1000w doesn't seem out of line in comparson to a lot of other 1000w amps.

What'd ya pay? What'd ya get for it?
