meh, it's not huge, but build quality is good, I like the storm series, atleast they did something that wasn't pure ****.

yes, I know. I contacted LA and they said they only replace units under warranty, so I'm sending it to AudioTekx. Sub_urban recommended me to them.

I mean I guess some of those have some large caps inside but I'm not seeing anything too big in the Kicker either (though granted the Kicker is larger and looks to have more components there).

I don't really see anything that bad about the X1.1000.1D, compared to other similar power output amps. As above, it's not huge but it seems well enough made to me...

I bet it does. The previous gen Storm amps were doing it, so why not this one?
