Was randomely browzing ebay and I found this...http://cgi.ebay.com/14-NEW-Toshiba-40-Watt-Stereo-Audio-Power-Amp-Amplifier_W0QQitemZ200094946036QQihZ010QQcategoryZ58036QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Item # 200094946036

Im assuming that there are seperate components like caps and resistors to add externally. Looks like a fun little project to do...

its called a chip amp.

they usually dont do that amount of power without high THD levels. its what comes in little cheap *** amps like DHD and PYLE amps. they use them in small handheld devices, and they can be of good use. they are also used inside headunits.

they use logic paths to amplify voltage. they prolly have some sort of PnP\NpN transistor inside as well.

I figured thats what it was but what do you think it needs to get it to work? power supply and preamp? or would it work straight off a 12 volt source?
