wtf

I say run an actual remote wire.
I've had remote issues that have done things similiar to what your's is doing.

My moniez on that.
How would not having a remote wire cause my truck to not start though? And when I first hooked everything up, I had a remote wire to the amp.. I found the switch later.

If your batteries rapidly discharged for no reason then there is a dead short or you're grounding out.
Well I say they discharged because that's what it seemed like. Everything was working and then suddenly nothing and my truck wouldn't even attempt to start. Ill have to check all my wiring and see if anything is crossed or anything. Thanks for the suggestions!

how is your fuse holder mounted? i had one mounted with sheet metal screws once and a screw backed out. it was touching the battery side wire (didn't pop fuse) inside the holder and almost cooked my car. maybe you have a similar dead short?

Should have bought ma PG Xenon 1200, lol. Not sure but does sound like somethings grounding out.

Hey I might not be able wire 2 subs up correctly half the time, but least I could drive my car....lol just fucking with you Mitch. Hate when you swear you did everything right and something fucks up

It was just sitting there at the time, I popped the fuse in to test everything before I secured it. It shouldnt be at the fuse. Maybe a pinch somewhere else in the line or something though.

Says the person who wired his subs up wrong 12 times. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Ah well, cant drive my truck, but I have 2 vehicles so no worries. It can sit til I figure this shit out. It is frustrating because I cant think of anything I did wrong. I should have checked and double checked everything before I even turned it on. But after 5-6 hours in the heat messing with it, I was ready to hear it!

Well I got a small update... I unhooked the amp and both batteries. The back battery was resting at 12.8 and the front was under 12. So I threw my old battery back in and the truck cranked right up. Still dont know what caused my issue. I would think that if the battery wires were crossed it would either blow a fuse or burn the truck up. It did neither. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Ah well, Ill check my wiring and try again. Hopefully its just something simple. Have my batt on trickle charge right now...

found the problem. and i feel like an idiot. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Bass must have rattled a connection behind the HU loose. It shorted out and caused fuses in the truck to blow, which made the truck not start! Batts were fine, front batt was a little low because my interior light was left on somehow. It was just by chance that I found the shorted out wire behind the HU. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
