Well ohio gen says if i put 1/0 power wire on my alt then i will fry the diode. They sya to use only 4 gauge and they say thats cause 1/0 will cause to low resistance. Not sure if this is just for my alt but seemingly enough ppl on the forum here says thats not true but i would rather believe the guys that makes the alt. before i believe someone here. Also i get the impression that its cause it will put out to much electrical to my system i am guessing since that i have a 1.5liter engine and a 108 hp car. So maybe you should think about it before you make your judgements maybe your alt diode burnt up also. Just a thought.
