Its happened to me before. Someone figured out your password and fucked some things up. Give the security question answer to get back into your account and pick a harder password.

Someone online im assuming , because no one else uses my computer...

happened to me all the time when i had aol, cause my stepmom's a bonehead, and probably gave all her billing info to fake ebay member service emails or something
we're talking 3 or 4 times a year

Well i dont know much about computers, but how can and why would someone mess/change an email / messanger acct. I never do any online buying / cc #'s or anything like that...

Man im too far behind with computer knowledge.. I need to go to college to enroll in a basic computer/online knowledge course.. Or study a real good site for a few months:crap:

it's really no big deal, someone was probably using your mail account to send spam, and yahoo changed your password to stop them from getting into your account.

lots of companies log ip adresses, and if a brand new ip adress that's never logged onto your account before goes on and instantly starts sending spam/ads, then they have a good hunch it's not you

just call them, or log on with your secret question, and set up a new password, and you'll be set.

i'd run a spyware program, tho, there's a good chance that's how they got your account
