thats shitty, im gettin worried about shipping companies too i just had to fix an amp i recieve that wound up gettin cracked in shipping..... to me it sounds like hes trying to scam ya tho, switch the board with his or some shit..... just sounds fishy....

if you do get a negative from it, under ebays new rules it goes away after a year. But I do agree that the guys trying to scam you

Dont worry about the neg balance. Escalate to a claim. PP doesnt deal with working items or not. Just whether or not you shipped. Once you provide proof, claim will be dismissed, and viola, PP balance is back to normal.

If a part was rattling around inside, could it have been shipping damage?

Paypal suxs. I lost $810 over a bad deal. They act like they really want to work with you, but all they want is their money. . .But it does seem like you have a good case with clearly stating "AS IS" and you have the tracking confirmation to the confirmed address.

ya there is no telling what happened honestly, i mean i got insurance on it for the full value, should i file a claim with fedex?

problem is its a dispute over "item not as described" so paypal said what they normally do in these situations is have the buyer send the item back and then refund the money, but what happens if he sends something else back, like a brick? All they ask for is tracking info.....

That they dont do transfer of warranty and that im SOL, that he can send it in but he would have to pay for repair. Fcking bulsht, im hoping to talk to Tracy (polecat) tomorrow and hope he can help me, if not ill have to fight it out with paypal i suppose. I just dont have the time for this bullsht.

Anything is possible, but ask anyone that has bought from me, i pack stuff that can withstand a bomb attack. This was definantly no different, triple boxed and surround with foam and paper and bubble wrap. Plus he mentioned nothing about damage to the package.

looks like i got the last laugh on this one. Paypal actually was going in his favor and told him to send me the amp and provide tracking info by the 4th. Well he told them he sent it but never gave them tracking or a method of shipping. Looked today and my paypal has been restored!! They denied his claim!! hahaha, stupid fck. I feel bad if the amp really was messed up, but i doubt he, he has been sending me messages this whole time saying he would drop the claim if i just sent him the 100 for repairs, i never even responded and felt like i would just let paypal handle it. Plus if it really was screwed up im pretty sure he would have sent it back, but im not about to send him 100 bucks for something that i have no proof or way of knowing if its really messed up. Anyway, im happy now and thats what counts!

Ya, i really thought i was going to get completely screwed on this, even so i havent been able to use my paypal account for almost a month now, so it did cost me some money when i sold my equipment.
