WTF Kicker!

Though you should have tested the amp.

You shouldn't have to Re-Pay anything. He could have dropped it, You don't know, It could have got damaged during shipping, You don't know...God I hate eGay

Brilliant end to the bullshit, I had a similar incident.
i definantly agree.

True, i should have, but i just didnt want to take the plastic wrapping off and didnt want to have to sell as used because i had tested it, since technically it wouldnt be BNIB after that, but from now on i will. I also trusted kicker to send a working amp back to me, and insured the amp through fedex for the full transaction amount. I tried to work with the guy, but i told him if he filed a claim then i would just let paypal deal with it, which is exactly what happened.

And ya, the bottom line is i dont know if it was even broken, or if he was just trying to scam me out of a cheaper price. Especially since he sent me a low-ball offer (had it on BIN or Best offer) for 400, and thats what he would have ended up paying had i refunded the 100...

I came a little late, but nice that it works for you, i havent had any problems in the bay, and paypal methods arent the best for claims, but they work sometimes.

Till date i have had good exp in the bay and paypal, but for big deals i go to the trusted amazon, never had any problem there.

I don't see how the claim was "not as described" if it's described as "as-is". Either way I'm glad it worked out for you. I had a guy try that with me on a radio that he tried to install.

Dont worry about the neg balance. Escalate to a claim. PP doesnt deal with working items or not. Just whether or not you shipped. Once you provide proof, claim will be dismissed, and viola, PP balance is back to normal.
That's not true. If it's from Ebay the buyer can claim significantly not as described and will probably win. I had it with a set of speakers I sold. It was pretty clear that one of them got a screwdriver through the cone, but he claimed that he got them that way and paypal would have sided with him if he had gotten it in the mail by the dead line.

He'll be told to return the item and provide proof of shipping and the seller will be asked to refund the money and verify it. Do you have a picture of the original serial number? That might come in handy in this case.
