Wtf I Am Mad

So my "new" used lightning audio amp would go into protect like randomly for like 1 second and then turn back one once in a blue moon so i didnt think much of it. Today i crank up and drive home from soccer and it wouldnt work the whole way home and in a way i was kind of happy so i could figure out what was causing this problem.

Well i get home keep the car on and check out the trunk the green power like and red protect lights are on. I mess with the ground at the chasis and its a pretty solid ground, then i check the amp to make sure the power isnt touching any of the ground and that wasnt the problem, next i check the remote but that wouldnt make sense any way because its powering up.

Only thing i can see is the way i have my sub wired. It is wired to 2 ohm and the amp is a mono amp, but has 4 speaker terminal connects (+) (-) (+) (-) i just have the positive and negative going into the two right next to each other, it seemed logical to me. The previous owner said they were wired in parallel i believe. Did i do something wrong with wiring the simple speaker wires?

which two wires did you hook up to ? on the + - + - scale?

i hooked possitive to the farthest right (+) and negative to farthest right (-)

i mean tomorrow when i get a little bit of time i can go rewire everything and if this doesnt work i am going to shoot myself for buying a messed up amp. but in all honesty i worked pretty good for the first week or so and just all the sudden protect lights up. I am sure most everyone knows the feeling of wanting to launch the amp in the air and blow the living bajesus out of it with a nice 12ga. automatic shotty.... well thats how i feel.

voltage drops mane. its a cialis, its weak. the thing is with mine, it stays green, but no output. It just quit one day.

when my 4 channel wouldnt come out of protect it was a bad chassis ground.

Is the amp 2 ohm stable?

The other guy was right, the speaker outputs should just be parallel outputs, so it makes not different what you connect your speaker to. The 2 + are connected internally and the 2 - are connected internally.

I'm guessing it might be low system voltage that killed the amp...
