lol, well what good does his key do if he cant open the door cause of the other lock?

you keep it locked most of the time, but when he says he's coming over, you unlock the new one, and then he can use his key in the original one

and make sure youre there when he comes over

He will charge you for putting in a new deadbolt though...thats putting a big *** hole in the door. Just replace it with another one and i bet he wouldnt ever know...as long asa your there when he needs to get in.

for an update...

i been calling my landlord all day and i left him a message...no call back. my potential roomate has also been calling him with no luck. and the landlord told us to call him today about the lease! i eventually called the landlords partner/employee...just some kid prolly younger than me. i told him about the situation. he didnt have much to say, just acted a little shocked. but he said hed call my landlord...i still havent heard anything.

and BTW, those smoke detectors that the theifs installed freaked out today and went off for no reason.

lol that is a pretty good idea. Or leave out skunked beer or something.

Should also be able to call their boss and get them fired for 1 - stealing your stuff, 2 - drinking on the job and 3 - for not even fixing what they came for.
