I'm looking to get a Stetsom 2k6d and i have a sundown saz 3000d that i could possibly work out some kind of a trade if interested
not that I am offically telling you to do so, but If you look over on SSA (i think, it may be on here also) you will find a link where the 3000d has been run at 18volts and put out some serious numbers.simply to run em at the 18v... sundown is a nice amp, clean power looks awesome ect but at the end of the day i need something to run at 18v a single 2k6d is the wrong impedance actually... 2 would be the ultimate and final goal
that was at 16.5 dropping to 14.5. my batteries rest at 17v with a recommended charging of 18.8-19.2 but my alt is set just above 18http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7900
click that link. they do put out serious #'s at higher voltages as jacob shows.
as ive herd but mine doesnt. it gets pissed at the high voltages. Trust me im not looking to gain power but more so the ability to run my batteries as intended at 18v. I just hooked the sundown back up to 12v and its plenty for me but i have a 16v electrical soThe SAZ3000D is made to run at 18 volts. Hell, I use to run mine at 12volts at 0.5ohms. That sucker would give out over 3k on music. So take it from Dtbrown and I, you will not see a difference in gain, and we run Stetsom!!
