yes his is the newest with all the upgrades which are standard now on all the nightshades also why not just send your subs in and get the one bad one reconed would be very cheap fix I promise.....
well, i bought these at a price as if both were working. i cant afford to send it in and have over $500 into it 1 sub after shipping and so on. i can get a full refund for both if i send them back to the seller, ill eat the shipping though, but that would be my best option price wise. ill just buy someone elses nightshade 18" with the new upgrades. that would save me some money

i just calculated what it would cost to have jake re-cone it to an 18", $250 total (including my shipping to him, total cost for him to do it, new basket etc etc, and return shipping).

ill end up even either way, if i keep the good one and send in the bad one to get re-coned to an 18". compared to getting my full money back and buying a 18" NS (probably around $400)...

idk what i should do, the RD SHW i was offered looks mighty tempting

Well i meant send the 12 in get it reconed as a 12 back to like new i say roughly 175 total in that and then have 2 12's..and split the cost with the seller sounds like a good deal to me..

idk, i bought these as perfect working subs. if he would pay for the re-cone i wouldnt have a problem with it.

2 12"s would save me some space, and should be just as loud as 1 18" off the saz3000, what do you think?

I was told the new nightshades are pretty much fully loaded but jacob told me 15" recones were $100 so i dont know if 12"s are the same or not but I would defiently say it is worth it.

They should be louder as there will be more cone area but you should definitely send it in and get it reconed its very cheap and run the 2 12's you will be very happy at the price promise..

ok, let me talk to the seller, see what he will pay. since he will have to get it re-coned anyways if i send it back to him.

thanks for all the suggestions

i would go with nightshade so you have matching amp and sub thats how i like to do my setups
yeah, i like that idea too. and they are better suited for my daily application than straight out SPL. because i barely compete, only when theres something local, and thats like once every 2 months lol

but im not sure if i should stick with 2 12"s, or go with 1 18"

bunnel is every month and thats pretty local to you isnt it? i had better luck with 1 15 over 1 18 and ive never done 2 12s but from the scores i see they look pretty close to 1 15 so im gonna stick with 1 15

yeah, but i work every other weekend usually, plus if the g/f wants to do something on my weekend off... etc etc.. lol. thats why i didnt make the last one.

but yeah, bunnel is like just over an hour away, so not too bad. i dont think anything will be ready for SBN anyways, but there is a USACI comp in DeLand on the 28th. i would like something in before that, so i can atleast play around in SB2 with 2 12"s

ill be at sbn but not competing, i should be at bunnel 4/18 competing. probly gonna bass race instead of idbl since i wont be in stock classes with the xtra d3100. and then featherweight

how many batteries is featherweight limited to? or is it solely by cone area?
