Why don't you buy the ED9.1 that's for sale in the classifieds forum......ED is way better quality than kicker any day. I think they are brand new for about $275

Kicker's have been pretty decent for me. As stupid as this sounds I also have the bass control knob mounted in a perfect spot under the HU. It was like it was meant to be there from the factory and matches the interior color. Not a huge deal but I don't know if the cable coming off of it will work to control other amps.

The only other amps I have owned are

DEI- Overheated like mad!

Concept- Never a problem and played well for me but don't know where they rate

MB Quart- That's the Cat's Meow right now

I had a KX1200.1........Long story short, blew out on me, couldn't find the receipt, KICKER wouldn't fix without a cost. I ended up using a buddy of mines ED9.1 for a weekend. I was amazed at the difference in output of the 9.1......I know that 200-300w usually isn't audible to our ears, but I could tell the difference. The 9.1 seemed to make my subs hit the low's very crisply, as supposed to the KX that sounded sloppy. Also the 12.5v as compared to the KX 13.8v might have played a factor in this also. I don't have any experience with the ZX line at all, as I am being biased against KICKER because of my problem with them. I may just be fooling myself, but as we all know, IF IT SOUNDS GOOD TO YOU, then nobody else can tell you otherwise.

My BAD experience with them, will always tarnish KICKERS' reputation. As I am about to also start hating DIRECTED/ORION..........

Wow...So your mad because you blew your amp, and then kicker wouldn't fix it for free without a receipt or proof of purchase.

Pretty much since I bought it at retail. Their customer service was also pretty arrogant when I called, so that didn't help. Also, you make it seem as if I did something to blow the amp when I didn't. Had everything installed at the shop where I bought it from. Let me see you go and spend $700 on an amp and install and not be pissed if the crap goes out.
