Can anyone get me a deal on a 14 volt battery or does someone have one to sell?
only 12v more specifically 12.6-12.8 at resting volts. Your alternator charges them up to 14 volts. You mean they dont make 14 volt batteries...
Oh ok i just see some batteries that say 14 volt or 16 volt for sale....only 12v more specifically 12.6-12.8 at resting volts. Your alternator charges them up to 14 volts.
What does this mean?only 12v more specifically 12.6-12.8 at resting volts. Your alternator charges them up to 14 volts.
If you test the battery with a dmm after you unhook it from the car and let it sit for a little while, it should read around 12.6-12.8ish. When it's hooked up in your car, your alternator charges it up to about 14. There are 14 volt and 16 volt batteries, but those are for guys that compete in sound offs competitively. What does this mean?
Ok so there ARE 14 volt and 16 volt batteries just not something im really gonna need unless im goong into like a ridiculously low load or something. If you test the battery with a dmm after you unhook it from the car and let it sit for a little while, it should read around 12.6-12.8ish. Well if you use a 14 or 16 volt batt in your car where the electrical in the car (lights and all the stuff that's in a "normal" car) isn't made for it, you'll fry it. If you look at high end amp ratings you'll see they rate them at 14, 16 and 18 volts. Power ratings getting higher for the higher voltages.Ok so there ARE 14 volt and 16 volt batteries just not something im really gonna need unless im goong into like a ridiculously low load or something.
Well then what i have lets say a soundqubed amp who rates their amps at 16 volts? There's more to it but the jist of it is normal cars aren't made to charge that high.
Couple amps rated up to 18vWell then what i have lets say a soundqubed amp who rates their amps at 16 volts?
