They are only 20 rms...

ahh come on they can take 40 trust me i havent used them but to test a deck but they will be fine..my premiers said 60 or 80 rms cant remember off hand but i fed them 125 for over a year and i still have no problems out of them..

I just currently blew 4 speakers because my headunit gave them too much power. Why would I want to buy speakers that my head unit is just going to blow again?

those pioneers can take 40, i had them a few months ago and ran those and my rear speakers, also pioneers and also 60rms off an amp that did 50x4 @ 4 ohms and they didnt blow or anything

what'd you do? blow stock speakers? i had those pioneers running off my HU for 2 months before i amp'd them, 55 x 4, 22 rms x 4

you arent getting 40rms off your head unit more like 13-22rms max..unless you have the alpine hell cant think of the name of it but its a add on amp for their new decks..

I doubt the h/u gave them too much power unless they were really cheap speakers. More likely they blew from the h/u's amp clipping.

They were stock speakers.

I just want to make sure they won't blow. I don't want to waste my money. I know their is someone out there with what I need though.

I can guarantee these wont blow of your headunit cause they will barely be getting power...
