You will not blow these with a head unit only powering them not if you can't adjust it right and just distort the shit out of them eventually they will go..but all settings correct and just the headunit powering them they will be just fine ask anyone here...

I would have mid and highs set to +10db on my hu. That's it.

Would they blow if it was set to that?

Why? They work just fine this way. And I don't need to replace the wiring if I just hook them up to the hu.
