I'm looking for a 3000 to 4000 rms amp that puts out power at 2 ohm or 0.5 ohm
I think you should maybe do some googling, many, many people even competed with these awhile back when they were still in production at half ohm and below without frying.Lol tons of people run 2 diff subs on the same amp too, doesnt mean its good or gonna last very long...i suppose if u have **** good electrical u could prolly get away with it but id be scared if its a daily!
I already know the technically that's involved with impedance rise, I repair amplifiers for a hobby and do realize that when a manufacture says the amp is stable at a certain ohm load they have figured in the impedance rise most people are going to see.Just a little food for thought for those of you who talk impedance rise...
Don't you think that engineers understand the phenomena of impedance rise? And doesn't it make sense that when a manufacturer rates an amp only down to 1Ω stable, they're saying that 1Ω is the lowest safe load on this amp? .... all the while understanding that 1Ω isn't the only load the amp will be seeing when it's connected to a 1Ω impedance.
Now don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that running an amp below it's rated impedance is always a problem. But seriously, do you guys think you've tricked all the electrical engineers with that revelation?
no but it will at .5 same board as AB vfl 200.1 !!!!!!!!! AND I"M TALKING DAILY .....................Lol the gp 3k wont do 3k at 2ohms
