WTB: 2 BADA$$ 10"subs.......

well. maybe see if some RE SE's will fit in there. im not sure on the mounting depth. but they will wang in a ported box [1~1.5 cubes @ 30~35hz) with 600~800w RMS each.

What amp does he have? Because if he doesnt have enough power to get those w3s going well I doubt he has enough to power the SE's. In my experience each SE liked at least 600 watts ported. Probably more sealed.

throw more power 2 your 2 10w3's.....u need around 1200watts to really get then to shine

It takes 600 watts to get a W3 to really shine? With what enclosure alignment, as you forgot to mention that and it clearly affects speaker performance. Second, why would it take twice a speaker's recommended power to make it perform well? Are you suggesting the people at JL are simply incapable of rating their products correctly?

well i have my 10w3 (the first versions.with 250rms)

in a 2 cube ported box tuned 2 29hz and it loves it...i have a house amp powering it

when i had it in my car i was throwing 600watts daily and at comps i was throwing 750watts to each of them...and mind u i have no problems with it..i have my subs for 5 years now....and no i'm not saying people should double there power ..i'm just saying for the w3 line its very underrated...jlaudio tech guys will tell u that..they dont reccomend u do so but if u do it has no problem taking it

thats what was told to me..and there right

got vid 2 prove it...playing a 13-19hz test tone with 600wats and it didnt show sign of stress

i bought a jl 500/1 amp for them. i havent even gotten it yet. picking it up tomorrow at the post office. ill see how it goes. does that amp just push out 500w?? or is it capable of pushing more out? i heard that they could reach 720rms. but thats what i "heard". anyone know?
