2 12w3v2 to 12 w6v2?

i was wondering if i should upgrade because i may have a great deal coming to me for the w6..

right now i have 2 12w3v2s in the JL high output box being powered by an orion 600d

should i upgrade to 1 12w6v2 probably in a sealed box? im thinking to keep the amp because the amp gives 400 x 2 ohms

would anyone recommend this move? why or why not? thanks.. and merry christmas!

if your into sq then yes get the 12w6v2 and wire it to 1 ohm to give it 600watts, it will sound real good

x2. But if you're concerned with sheer output, then keep the W3v2's.

how do you wire a dual 4 to 1 ohm?

having owned the exact speakers you are talking about i'd say give the 12w3v2 more power instead of upgrading to a single w6v2

first u need to get another 600d .......one 600d is not going to cut it for two 12w3's.....

and second make another box and tune it to 30hz..and u will see a major difference......dont get my wrong the sq on the 12w6v2's are great..but why buy another sub when u have two that u can work with...u can have a good sql setup with 2 12w3's

i run 2 12w3v2 dual 2s on a kx800.4(400x2 at 4 ohms bridged) sealed in my sunfire can't wait till i get a ported box built for the pair of them. they wang hard tho and sound great doing it. what coil config are your w3v2 dual 4 or dual 2 or dual 6? I'd reccomend at least 400 wrms each if not a 600d each if they are dual 2s

i think ive decided to keep my w3s.. and might upgrade my amp.. how much power should i feed each sub? any suggestions for amps? can w3v2s handle 600 watts? i was looking on the jl recommended power chart and 600 watts was in the "warranty void" region..
