and yes im geared about 80/20 towards spl.. i have

1000@4

1500@2 and

1900@1, i would like to run at 1 ohm if possible

and as far as properly ported box, what kind of specs are we talkin?

 
Your power of 1900@1 ohm will be a perfect match, my MX is dual 2 ohms, wired in parallel will give u 1 ohm.

use winisd and input those # and you can play around with freq response to your liking and determine your box size and tuning frequency. The box I used was 2.0^ft tuned to ~ 32 hz, sound decently good with a nice low end. From what i know, higher tuning frequency = higher spl as most bass note is in the 40-60 hz region. Whatever sub u decide on, make sure you have a proper box as it contribute a lot to how the sub will sound, so ask around the forum.
