Wrong speakers sent, but will they work?

Today I came home and found that National Car Audio sent me the wrong set of speakers. I had ordered a pair of infinity kappa 4x6 plates, the 462.5cfp 4 ohm model, which I believe is the older set. I received the 462.7cfp model, which has an impedence of 2 ohms.

The problem I have is this: the amp I'm getting puts out 110w at 2 ohms and 80w at 4 ohms. My speakers can only handle 60 rms.

Would you recommend putting 110w on a set of speakers that can only handle 60w? I thought I was pushing it with 80w.

So now I'm faced with either finding a way to wire it, or sending the product back to National Car Audio.

Thanks.

Leave them at 2 ohms...it's actually good to have headroom, more power available than you need //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Just set the gains properly.

yeah, that will be a *****. Just set your gains low, and it will perform fine.. Also, if you wire them in a series, you will lose your stereo effect, so you'd have a mono channel of music for yourfront, i assume, since they are 4x6's. How much were those, my sunfire has stock 4x6 openings, that would be nicer than the 4's i have niger rigged in there now.
