Wrecked My Truck Bad...HDC3 15 Survived As Well As Me!

had the box bolted the bolts broke and the box hit my seats pushing the backs forward a bit.

and i hit the tree by being dumb. all im saying for now.

and it was a straight away that turns into a very very sharp corner where i didnt quite make it around.

big oak tree about 3ft wide had better plans for me.

holy fuck. i wrecked my dakota, but i was only rear-ended a truck doin about 20 mph. i can't believe hitting that tree didn't snap your neck. you must've been going 40-50, i would think 60-70 would've killed you instantly.

pics of the tree?

idk iv seen vehics that hit trees doing 50 and the front ends usually look about the same as mine but the pics honestly dont show how everything is buckled.

its in the paper and it says doing an estimated 60-70 mph. plus the way my frame is snapped the mechanic told me that doesnt happen easily usually they bend. thats why he said 60

everyone has told me they dont know how i walked away so easy. it must have just been luck and the way i hit the air bag and everything.

its a good thing the tree was that big.if it was any thinner it would have probably sliced right through
ya thats what they told me they said since the tree was so big it displaced the impact if it was thinner they said it would have caused some part of the inside to crush in more. so if it was anywhere near me id probly be dead. and luckily i hit it almost in the middle but slightly toward the passenger side

Dang dude, it seems like the pic does it justice just fine to me... that thing looks messed up bad!

As for everyone calling you a dumbass, they are right, but i bet you learned a valuable lesson.

I flipped my first car when i was younger, it rolled three times and they said i was lucky to be alive too. But you can bet that I'm a **** good driver now.

I almost feel like i don't trust people that haven't been in a serious car wreck, because i know we have more incentive not to do it again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Anyway, congrats on avoiding the dirt nap, and congrats on your sub surviving.

What about the amp, head unit and speakers?
