louder highs..

well.. im just like everyone else here, love loud bass.. but whats the point in having loud bass, if you dont have the highs to back it up? ive been noticing for the past few weeks/months that on certain songs.. you cant exactly hear the vocals and shiz.. so its almost like listening to bass and just high frequencies off the beat coming through, hard to hear what their saying and shiz... so im wondering..

how can i get my highs louder? but sound good too? and what makes them loud, quality, or quantity?

cuz either i get 1 pair of high end speakers.. or 2 pairs of decent speakers for the same price that the high end speakers would be

and i dont really wanna get PA horns/speakers.. i think thats cheating

rated at 100rms per channel (2-channel) but im of course gonna upgrade it eventually to a 4 channel, at least 100rms per channel im hoping

but just wanna know what will be louder, so i can still hear the vocals over the bass
