How to import MTS files into iMovie?

Every now and then, there are people talking about AVCHD (mts) camcorder, one typical situation I want to share with all of you is as follows:

"I have a Panasonic camcorder. iMovie doesn't recognize the camcorder files. How can I edit the files on my AVCHD camcorder with my Mac?"

AVCHD support has been a headache for both PowerPC Mac and Intel Mac users. The format varies slightly depending on the type of your camcorder. For Mac users, software support varies based on the version of iMovie you use and the system you work on. For example, in iMovie '08, only camcorders using MPEG-2 (standard definition) and AVCHD (high definition) formats are supported, however, in iMovie '09, two more formats, MPEG-4 and H.264 are covered. Besides, if you use the AVCHD format, you will need a Mac with an Intel-based Core Duo processor or better.

Then how to solve the problem between AVCHD (mts) and iMovie? Before jump into it, it is necessary to get a general knowledge about AVCHD (mts) and iMovie, AVCHD is a high-definition MPEG transport stream video format for recording and playback of high-definition video used by Sony, Panasonic and other high-definition camcorders, and iMovie is a video editing software application created by Apple as part of their free of charge iLife suite of applications for Mac that allows users to edit their own home movies.

Since we can't import MTS file directly to iMovie, not to mention get editing there. We can try a workaround to convert MTS to other formats that iMovie supports like MPEG-4, MPEG-2, MOV, HDV or DV.

This can be realized by the powerful and professional MTS to iMovie converter for Mac, not only you can convert MTS to iMovie supported file format with good quality and fast speed, but you can also do some editing on the file you want to convert, like cropping unwanted frame from clips, trimming the length of the file, adjusting Brightness, Contrast and Saturation of the file for your smooth editing.

They are definitely SPL speakers.
wrong........guess again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

they can sound very good in the right enclosure and mated to a good front stage. But yes they will get very loud also...

Anything can sound good when used right.... but they are aimed towards SPL, rather than SQ. I'm not saying they sound bad, but they are not an SQ sub by any means. They are a long ways away from that.
