Ok well i have a DD 9515G in the car but its not even installed yet so my friend went to an audio shop and i was like meh ill go. So i go first we go to this hole in the wall place and i asked him if he knew digital designs and he goes in his accent "SoundStream? im like no digital designs. He says ooo you need analog too for your clock...I simply say ok!

Next Shop Custom Sounds... I enter and i ask them as my friend is telling me that his kicker subs are sewn and that mines gonna break because mine is glued. Ok so we ask them and they have no idea.

Next Shop Audio Express... I enter and it looks nice. I ask him and he goes man that sounds like its off brand. I simply say ok and tell him that Digital hit a 180.5 with a single sub and he simply says "Anyone can do that with the right box and port" Which is true but he doesnt even know lol... Then he told me he hit a 135 with his P2.... Anyway then they had a HC800 Kinetek batttery and my friends were all like man thats all you need right there!

So simply said... STL+CARAUDIO=IDIOTS

lol im gonna be bringing DD to the lou anyone here live in STL?

As for the build quality on your DD's... I wouldn't worry about them falling apart for a long time. Just because each manufacturer secures the sub to the surround differently, doesn't mean that sewing is > gluing.

haha yea i know hes like man mines hand sewn lol his 2 l5s 12s sealed with kicker 1250.1 amp he thinks hes gonna whoop me lol

Matt Sibley, from Team S.P.E.A.D. did 182 with a JL8W3.

Yeah, but still...lol. Frm what I was told...at 182...you could TALK over it. It was just moving air. And, I havent seen the box itself, but I was told it was about the size of an average casket with 20 to 30 feet of spiraling and expanding ports that came out being like, 3" outside the box, but got up to 9 or 10" inside. (this is all hearsay, so may be false)
