WOW!!! JBL W10gti subs

I heard these on the same night as i heard a few IDMAX subs. I was blown away by the IDMAX's but when I played with the GTi's I was completely f'n shocked. tightest sounding sub I have had the chance to hear.

I get the same response out of everyone who listens

you should hear them with the 660gti comps...

how much are the 10"s and the 12"s whats rms rating..

W10GTi = 600WRMS Give it around 1200WRMS (seriously)

W12GTi = 700WRMS Give it around 1500WRMS (seriously)

They can take a lot of clean power; no clipped signals and they'll last. I ran mine on only ~600WRMS and it DEF wanted a lot more.

Uh yeah but you shouldn't be sending a clipped signal to any speaker.

Give em 2000W, clip it, they'll take it but why do it?

as long as the speaker can handle the power put out by a clipped signal, it'll be just fine.

clipping is just overpowering for the most part, other just high frequency info.

Depends where you look. W10GTi is low $200 and the 12 is near $300 I'd imagine.

If you find a shop, those prices will be a lot higher. Long time ago bought my W10GTi for $240 shipped.

I know nothing about that install, but yes clearly those are tracks for sliding the amps in and out with. If you look you can see they are actually slid out, in a position that would otherwise making folding the back seat up impossible.
I think I would have tried hiding those tracks. Beautiful install, just sayin...

lol yea, they are indeed tracks. i think there was an actuater that moved it in and out...

yea, the shop that installed it should have hid them better

How do these compare to the Mags? They seem like they would be awesome, but the dual 6 ohm coils is somewhat of a problem.

Nice to see some love for a nice *** sub that doesnt get a lot of attention due to its 6 ohm rating I own the 12 and the 15 beautiful loud clean subs

so these say there rated for 600wrms. what is everyone running them at and why is there rating so far off?

in a .5cf3 sealed box the gti would be really held back
mine each have 1.65cf3 plus sub and port diss with a port

velosity just below 6%...

they hit like a pair of 12" but are stupid fast

I own a 12in gti... in a sealed setup, what would be the best dimensions for my box?!
