On friday night i hit a deer going 60mph on the highway. Two lanes in each direction, large grass center median, and woods along the sides. The speed limit was 55 and i had cruise set on 60 in the right lane. I was in a rural area and there was not a single car in sight. Out of nowhere a deer jumps in front of me and i don't even have time to react (at this point i had only had 1 beer about an hour previously). Thank god a cop didnt stop because i had a lot of weed, a case of bush, and my friend had some pills. I drive a truck so rather than the deer going over the roof, it launched it about 100 feet forward, airborn the entire time. It was pretty funny actually. I pulled over on the side of the road and inspected damage. All that i could see at the time was a busted headlamp that still worked and a huge dent in my bumper. Well the next day i inspect my truck further to find out that the fender, bumper, condensor, bumper supports, grille, hood, headlamp, and blinker assembly need to be replaced. Makes me want to take up hunting.
At about this time last year i hit a deer but had time to slow down to 20ish so luckily no damage was done then.
