wow 16 p2 punches svc hitting 155db's

I was at my local stereo shop and they had a rockford room (sponsored) and i see a wall with 16 10" P2's. these things are like 400MAX watts. i laugh a little bit and ask him to hear it.

he tells me to put on some headphones and i laugh a little harder. puts on the bass and wow. i couldnt believe it. this is on a TL too so no BS readings. it was hooked up to 2 yellowtops and a 2800 watt rockford amp. To say the least, i was impressed with these sht subs.

Id think 16 of just about anything in the proper install and some good power would be pretty loud.

it was a newer version amp. not sure what it was but they ran it and it puts out a true 2800. and i wouldnt put this shit on here if i didnt experience it for myself. they were each in a 1.25ft^3 sealed.

I highly doubt the db score, I know about the subs. The only amp that rockford makes that would do that would be either a 30001bd(which puts out well over 3000) or the 20001bd which i dont think would bench up to 2800w.

haha im just telling you what the jamoke told me about the amp. i KNOW for a fact that the wall does 155 db.

grubbs. this was made because rockford sponsored their room. ovbiously they just did it because no one around here has a showroom that does 155db.

how did he have SIXTEEN subs connected to one amp? It would be impossible in a series, due to resitance being to high...and...in paralell...how the hell could any amp go down to like 0.1 ohm? i don't know how to get it off the top of my head, but still, how would you realsitically wire this?

you can get a 4 ohm load out of 4 SVC 4 ohm woofers.

Anyways, the room is about 8x10 ft. I need to go back out there to get a vid for all you non believers. its not like i dont know what 150db's feel like... it was there.
