I got a pair of Pioneer 5.25's sitting around that came out of my cherokee.

what one should I take? the PG's or the Pioneers, keep in mind i'm only gonna be running the mids.

Never tried it to know for sure , but I would think running a set of coax's would sound better than just a mid. A mid-bass is designed to just play mids (obviously),

Sure, just don't install them and run just the mids, don't see it being an issue.

Don't do it, at least don't do it while using the crossover. If you leave the tweeter disconnected, then the amp (or HU, whatever) will see a near short at certain frequencies. This is because the crossover has a 12 db/oct (at least) slope, so at certain frequencies, the only resistance seen by the amp will be the resistance in the inductor in the crossover...which is near nothing.

why dont you get the other set and have them in the rear. have the coax in the front and the mid range in the rear. just a thought
