would this hifonics amp work??

I just bought two 12" alpine subs dual 4 ohm 500w rms each. I was thinking of using a Hifonics zxi 1008 it does 1000w x 1chan bridged at 4 ohms

Is this a good selection. When bridged at 4 ohms it would supply the 1000w to the subs correct or is this not a good selection?

I would look for a class D amp that does 1000x1 @ 1 ohm, it will probably be cheaper.

dB-r has refurbed sundown audio sae-1000d's for ~250 iirc.
