Would this do anything to my amp?

Or4 course it will pull more from your battery, any added electrical appliance will. And I don't see why pulling power form the amp would be a problem.

It would take forever for those to drain your battery, I left mine one for 2 or 3 days once. What im going to try to do next is hook the up to the original trunk light. As for tapping into the amp power, What do you mean? Just putting it in the power terminal of the amp? You do have to ground those lights too.

http://www.svc.com has those lights too, longer ones. THats where I got mine from. 12" for $5, comes in pairs.

If I tap into my amp to power these, would that do anything to the amp, or would it drain more power from my battery or something? By the way I have this amp:
As already answered by n00blet, of course it will cause more of a drain on your battery than your currently installed gear will. You're adding another item that requires electrical current to operate. Well, it has to get that current from somewhere (umm...the car that it is installed in, maybe?!?) and wherever it comes from it is simply one more thing that draws current.

Having said that...the cold cathodes require such a minimal amount of juice that the extra load created by one (especially a 4" version) will be a negligible amount and should not be a worry unless you're already taxing the charging system beyond its capacity to begin with. And no - it shouldn't affect your amp noticeably. Now if you were attaching the power lead to say another amplifier daisy-chained off of the power connection for the first one then you might notice problems as the current that was originally going to feed a single amplifier would then be being divided between two amps but those cathodes shouldn't give you any trouble that I can foresee.

Is that what you paid for that amp or are you simply using Sonic's ad for reference? (I'm just curious...)
