Would this be louder then a L7

hey guys i ahve a 12inch kicker l7 ina 3 cubic foor box tuned to 34 hertz running off my zx1000, and im thinking about getting 2 10w6v2 off a similar amp recieving about 600watts rms a peice, or i was tihnking about 2 12w6v2 and this would be ina ported box?

just wann know how loud it would get compared to my kicker l7

and yes i know theyre are better companies for the price but off ebay theyre not to expesive and its hard to find like mags and idqs for cheap

W6's and L7's are two totally different beasts; I have experience with both. The w6 is very low on output, but can sound absolutely amazing while playing music. The L7 on the other hand (which I've been using for spl) is much better for creating more sound pressure.

no i know theyre totoally different subs but i wanna know how different they would be because i want sometihng with more SQ which obivousley they W6 has and wont have as much SQ but like would 2 12w6 be almost as loud as a single 12 L7?

too many factors to consider. my 1 12L7 has been metered louder than someone's 2 15's, 4 12's, yadayadayada. its more physics involved that the driver and the power they receive

It will be loud enough to know you have them and they sound pretty too. They are 2 subs with a different purpose.

ya i understand they COMPLETELY different subs! just wondering because my buddy a a 13w7 off a jl1000/1 and its get like louder or the same as my L7 but sounds wayyyy better! so iwas thinking of 2 12w6 but i was just hoping it would be as loud if not louder then his 13w7 because theres more cone area with the 2 12w7 right?

well if he has 1 l7 ur gonna be way louder with 2 12inch. u have 24inch surface area instead of 12

2 12" W6v2's on 1kw or so in a SUV was 10x louder than my 2 12" L7's on a modded 81000D (mayby 1.5-2kw) in my old sedan

either way, if your in a SUV its gonna be loud

if you had the 2 w6s would you port them? if yes then they will be louder than the single L7

^this will be tru 90% of the time unless you **** at building boxes

honestly id run a pair of L5s or just pick up another L7

k to clear a few things up i ahve a 1991 hatchback 5.0 mustang, and i already ahve 1 L7 but i want more SQ and if you read up there yes i would port them

ive had 2 10w6's they dont get loud but sound super clean, mine were ported, i would stick with L7, what music do you listen to?
