i think it would be legal honestly...but now think about this.
what happens when you brandish your gun...and they bring out theirs?

then comes the question... who will shoot? will anyone shoot?

but brandishing a gun will either make them pull their gun out, or stop immediately.

if they pulled their gun out i would just walk out. what will they do, shoot me in a crowded bar?

wow i shouldnt of even said that, in todays society i would expect to get shot. but at least i could shoot back.

your allowed to have your weapon shown, thats better...because up here in new hampshire its 3 moves away and its considered a "consealed weapon"...so the less moves the better off you are.

im sure it varies by state laws.. but if you feel your life is in danger and you have legit paperwork i dont see it as being illegal

While you're in class for your CCW, you're told that you don't take it out unless you intend to use it.

You can't just go waving your gun around because you think you're going to get your *** beat.

While it's been a while since my criminal justice course, I believe if you pulled out your weapon and a genuine threat of using it against someone was made by yourself, it'd be considered assault/battery (whatever the specific state calls it).

If you believe you are being threatened, I believe you have the right to defend yourself to a certain level, I don't think brandishing a handgun at them is considered reasonable in that case, however.
