Would this be a good match for the Alpine MRV-M500 amp?

I had an atrend on a 12" CVR and on a 12" L7 and they are actually not that bad for a prefab. For someone who can not build its probably a decent option compared to all of the China crap on the market.

It's says they are spec to the subs. Buddy bought the single 8 box and put his 508 in it. Sounds decent.

He's asking if this would be a good pair - I wouldn't pair it up . I would use aLarger amp than my sub's rms I would never do the opposite .

I didn't get it. It was a little big for the car. I think I'm gonna just save little cash and let someone customize me one to a subwoofer I pick. Just wanna get a descent thumping sub that matches good with that amp, and not have to worry about blowing the sub. Sure if I had that money tree you're talking about I would buy a lot bigger amp and I can see all the spec on my own, but half of the stuff I don't understand. I learn as much as I can and come hear to get feedback from some of the pros. Thanks guys. I'm still searching.

they're saying that because you'll never got full RMS out of any amp unless its really underrated or you wire down to .5 ohm to combat rise. I have a taramps hd3000 on a single hds315 and it loves it even though the amp is rated more than 2x the subs rms rating.

Most of your money should go into a proper ported box for your specific vehicle and a high quality amp. a $100 sub with a good amp and box will outperform a $500 sub with a prefab box and junk amp

You can run any sub on any amp as long as it's wired correctly. Having more power than needed is great, having less than RMS is just fine. The better sub will always be better.

LOL. No man I have 2 18's on my go kart. But my daughters FRS trunk is absolutely ridiculous. I couldn't even fit her single 12 box in there. So I sold it,(12 bassline alpine crap) because it wouldn't fit, and it just sounded alright in her old car. Now I want to put a little better quality sub that will bump a little better than that one did. I know I could get a custom 12 box built to fit, but still wanna save a much space as I can. Maybe a ****** little 8 would be cool and save space. Anyone have any experience with a good 8" sub?

The soundqubed hds208 is an amazing little driver. Would work great at 500watts too. But same as any sub, the box has to be built correct. Even 2 8s in about 1.2 cu net is a small box and would be near too much bass for that small car? ?? . the box is 80% of the system. My most expensive components are my box, and my shca wiring. Honestly that hds310 would of been great too. Good luck.
