Would this amp work...

I'm looking into getting a Kenwood PS400M Amp:

This amp will be powering:

2 MTX Thunder 8000 Series 10" 4 Ohm subwoofer

Model: T8104

Peak Power: 1000w

Power Handling (RMS): 400w

I would look for an amp that does 800 wRMS @ 2 ohms, assuming that your subs are 4 ohm SVC.

That amp at 2 ohms would probobally put out a bit less than that, but if you can get it for that cheap it might be a good deal. although it is kind of ugly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

If your looking for a cheap amp, pick up a HiFonics BX1500D. That would give you about 800 watts at 2 ohms and can give you more if you decide to change subs. You can get one for about $200.
