Would new 6x9's even make a difference?

i currently have stock 6x9's and haven't thought much about replacing them. but since i've decided to upgrade my speakers i've decided to think about it. I've heard that the subwoofers would drown out the sound they produce. I currently have 2 12" rockford p3's. is this true or would new 6x9's actually make a difference?

You're better off spending your money on a good front stage. Stock speakers are fine for rears, if you even need them.
