I have an 05 nissan altima, and would like to change my stock speakers, i was reffered to this forum, from nissanclub.com, do to the fact that one of the members on that site is selling a set of rainbow comps, At first i was going to go with jl comps in the front and jl 3 ways in the rear(6x9). But after reading up on rainbow i think im convinced. The front speakers in my car are 6.5" and the rear are 6x9. i was going to go with rainbow SLC 265 for the front, and rainbow SL 6x9 for the rear. Do you think the jl TR690-TXI 6X9 3-Way Coaxial speakers would be better for the rear or would you stick with rainbow for everything? I have a pioneer avh-p5700 dvd headunit with ipod setup as my headunit, and plan on getting an amp to power my new speakers, again im new to all this and dont have much knowledge in car audio, but i would think since i have 4 speakers i would need a 4 channel amp, how much watts would you recomend, as well as what brand is good? Looking around on this forum i see a member named 6spdcoupe and from what ive read it seems as if he sells the speakers i am interested in, but i could not find any threads in the classifieds for the speakers, does anyone know if he still sells these speakers? Thanks in advance, and help would be appreciated since i would like to do this correct the first time around, and does anyone know how much installation on a setup like this would run me?

you are in NY...drive down to Jersey and pickup the SLC's and SL 6x9's from Don. It is worth it. Take that setup anyday of the week over JL's. also, have Don do the install too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif He specializes in Nissans. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

BTW, the guy on Altimas.net/nissanclub.com was gettin em from me as well. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
was the guy from nissanclubs name nismo14? and if so then i think its easier if i order from him rather than drive to nj. i have absolutely no time, i work pretty much 7 days a week, also what else do you think i would need to complete my change of speakers, what kind of amp would i need to power all four speakers?

also how much would something like this cost me to install, and what would you recommend i have the installer put in behind the speakers to help prevent rattling, dynamat??

Yes it is, but you would be sending to my Paypal account, and I would be shipping them. Hes also in NJ about 10 mins from me.

ok sounds good, i'll be ordering from him/you some time this week, and i would like to also get an amp, do you sell amps as well and if so what would go with my speaker setup?

i just ordered today the rainbow speakers as well as an arc amp, just checking to make sure the speakers have a 1 year warranty if just bought and a 5 year if installed by a rainbow distributor, and what kind of warranty does the Arc Kar 400.4 come with? and when do you think i should expect them by?

yes they have that warranty but I can bet Don has had only a handful of warranty claims with Rainbows in the last few years. The Arc amps are more than solid and you are buying from a legit dealer...he will back up your warranty without fail.

great sounds good, and am looking forward to getting this setup, on a side note i went to a installation place by me today and got quoted b/w 350-400 to install this i was blown away not so much by the price but the owner was trying to tell me this is a 5 hour installation at $70 an hour plus i would have to pay for the wiring for the amp, does this sound right?
