would like my MTX 1501D modded

Very simple process.

Take off the case.

On the top left hand side of the amp, near the RCA's you will see a small white spring loaded button, you want this to be UNdepressed.

Now, in the bottom left quadrant of the amp... locate resistor Q240... make sure it is Q240 . Use a soldering iron, and a ulility knife to remove this... kindof flick it off.

Done. Now your amp is modded, it'll put out roughly 1800rms @1ohm.

No prob, I don't know as much about all this stuff as alot of these guys on here. But the little I do know and the plenty I learn on here I don't mind passing it on.

Hope you enjoy that 1501d is a cool and releable amp.Rock on !!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

now you tell me about modding?!?#$?# I just sold 4 of these amps....

Thats 7.2KW!?!?!?

And I bought DD Z1 (4kw) 70%decrease of power.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

all from the man himself

"Modding it is pretty easy if you're familiar with removing circuits with a soldering iron. You have to remove resistor Q240 from the board and release the compression circuit."

"q 240 is located in the south west quadrant of the amp... you have to be careful to not remove d240 that is right beside it. Also, the compression circuit is a little white button next to the rca end of the amp. It needs to be pushed in the "out" position. "

"They dont do it from the factory because the chip you remove is the part of the protection circuitry that shuts the amp down if it see's a load below 2 ohms (ie dead short) so when modded you have to be careful not to touch the speaker leads together while the amp is on, or you will short it out. And yes, the mod will allow up to 18.5 dc volts and down as low as you feel comfortable on impedance... I wouldnt suggest any lower than .5 for daily. "

i thought about it but ima pass

Well this is how you would "Mod" your amp.

1. Install a Wing on the rear for added downforce

2. Add a hoodscope w/intake

3. Get some custom decals [flames] and put it along the side

4. Install some neons under the amp

Heh sorry couldn't help myself =P

add chrome switches to turn the neons on and off and you're good to go //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
