Would like a second opinion on this design.

Alright well a member for ca.com designed this box for me and I sketched it up.

Here are all the specs and I just want to make sure that this box will work well for my 4 e8s and the tuning will be correct as I have never built a box with an aero.

I might have to lower the aero a little bit so it doesn't interfere with mounting the woofer.

cut sheet:

34.5" width x 12" height x 14" depth with a 4" aero port 12" long. that's 2.4 cubes net tuned to 32hz.

top and bottom: 14" x 34.5"

front and back: 10.5" x 33"

sides: 10.5" 14"

port from end to end 12.5"

Here is the sketchup I made for the box. Don't mind the shitty drawing as I am terrible with GS.

If you have any questions ask away.

I have a question: did you pay for the design? Because if so, it really isn't appropriate to post someone's work on here for evaluation. If you want to PM a member and check and see, then okay fine, but posting it for the entire forum and stating the designer isn't looked highly upon.

He did it for me for free and I don't think he would mind if I posted it here.

EDIT: Not as terrible. Net volume of 2.2 cubic feet at 33.2hz. I was using the dimensions as the interior dimensions //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

102.85 cubic inches coming through 12.56 sq in is prolly going to make some noise
Is that the Vd? I can't be bothered to look up the sub //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

And I do agree that you should probably just go slot ported for two reasons: you can get more port area without spending a lot of money on a larger port and the slot port adds natural bracing to the enclosure.
