Would it be a smart trade?

Hey guys.

My brother and I share a car, and we recently put a system in it. We like it a lot, but we were planning on upgrading it a little bit. We're currently powering it with a Kenwood KAC-9105d. My brother said that he may have a friend that wants to trade our Kenwood for his Hifonics BRZ1700.1d, straight up. Would I be smart do do this? I'm going to post rating comparisons of the amps, tell me what you guys thing.

Kenwood - Hifonics

4 ohms: 500w:600w

2 ohms: 900w:1200w

1 ohm: >900w:1700w

Why would someone do that trade? Cause Kenwood kicks so much a$$? I gotta go with tj. The Hifi is probably busted.
