Would having a 12" upfront and a 18" in the Back sound bad?

If I got the same Brand of subwoofers, and Put a 12" subwoofer up front by my components and a 18" in the back of my car...would it sound alright? I know mixing sizes is usually bad...but a 12 in your face and a 18 to shake the rest of your car would be awesome. The car they would be going into would be a Subarban

what in the hell? you shouldn't need a single 18 and a 12 to get what you're looking for. Just get a loud 12.... My 9500 was loud in your face and shook my car pretty badly. But i dunno, try it out, just mount the 12 in a fiberglass enclosure aiming at your face on your dashboard... or you could build a box that fits 4 6.5s, 3 8s, 2 10s, 2 12s, a 15, and an 18... and a jackhammer... then you'd have full range of bass.

Nope, unless you really know what you're doing, it won't work whatsoever.

ive heard of people band passing a tens up front for a three way then have an 18 in the back

yeah, they typically bandpass their dual subs by an 1800 watt american legacy amp too

Well i was planning on making a Fiberglass enclosure for a 12 right inbetween the center console and dash...and I talked to Chad today from AA, and he said that an 18" Havoc will come out soon... Just though if I had a 12" AA up front and a 18" AA Havoc in the back there'd be a crazy amount of bass, One in your face,and one shaking the whole *uckin car...bad Idea I guess...

Yeah, it's a cool idea if it could work but what's going to happen is the front woofer and the rear woofer are going to fight each other, ultimately cancelling each other out. How much will they fight each other? Well, no one can predict that. My "guess" would be quite a bit and probably a bad idea. Not to mention that by having the sub up front with you, you will hear a lot of noises and rattling from the woofer you wouldn't normally hear. Aka cone distortion.....
