Would a single 15" sp4 get me to where I want to be?

With my trunk so sealed in my crown vic its hard to get good bass all the way up front. I'm

thinking about pulling the trigger on a single 15" sp4.

My hdc sounds ok but I need more output.

Would this be a good direction to go? How is fi's customer service?

Your trunk is ur biggest stuggle right now. yes the sp4 will get louder and lower but u need more to make that happen and even if both of those happen, the trunk is still a big problem

A new sub isn't going to be the answer for you. The SP4 has little to offer over the HDC you own apart from 50% more power handling. Ideally you dump 600$ into the sub and another 600$ into a bigger amp and you've gained 1.5db (one more click on your volume knob). Expect a very low return on your investment there.

Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, crown vic trunks ****, even with the rear seats removed. I have this massive trunk but this tiny area for bass to feed thru, plus its half plugged

up by my full size spare.

50% more power handling plus being a 15 over a 12, that should help some I would think......I dunno, just running idea's through my head.

You'll need a bigger amp. Shaun ran his SP4 on a 20.1, and is now trading me for my DD 9515. A 4" coil can handle more power than a 3" coil, but you don't need more power handling with that amp. If anything, cone area is the only reason you may gain anything. Wouldn't be much though.
