You have a sub pushed all the way back in a trunk car, talking about replacing one 12 for another so it can "hit harder", without talking about increasing power, clearly you dont know what the fk you're doing.

There's no difference between SQ or SPL subs in terms of output. It's all in the TS parameters, and if there are differences in relationship to TS parameters, they are very small.

Either you need a higher power handling 12in sub with more power, or get another of the same sub for a total of two.

Icon will outperform the SA. Icon will be more musical but will still get down. It’s not a true sq sub

Buy yourself one of these and get a Sundown SIA3500 mono amp and run it @ 1 ohm. It should tear up that BMW.

I don't think going from an icon to an sa is going to be worth it.

You might do better throwing more power at it or rebuilding the box the be tuned lower. Or a much larger sub in general
