I got in an argument with this moron at work about how loud the current world record is.
We got on the topic after he said he hit a 151.8 with a single Q 12" off a rockford 1000
I asked him what Mic, Ac100 or a Termlab. He said "**** man, i dont know, it was a rockford meter." //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
So then he proceeds to his story of how his friend hit a 167 with two 12" Q's off 2000 watts. Again: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
I told him the current world record is 181.8 (or something close to that) which was set by Alan Dante (correct me if I'm wrong). But no he didnt believe me. He was CONVINCED that the world record was 212, and he knows plenty of people that are hitting over 190. Once again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
He also said that "all these huge 200+ numbers are audio teams, not just a single person. " "They have vans n **** with like 20 18" woofers in it"
I said, Give me some proof, and maybe I'll believe you. He said he didnt need proof. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
I then said Jet engines don't even go over 170. He came back with "DUDE, AIRPLANE ENGINES BREAK THE F_ING SOUND BARRIER." I laughed, and said, yeah, their speed, not their sound. He said "what the hell do you think gets them up to that speed, their engines...which break the sound barrier" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif
Sigh. He scoured the internet looking for his 200+ DB proof. Anf of course, nothin.
Not really worthy of my time, but entertaining nonetheless. Just proves how ignorant and stupid people are. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
Take a guess where I work.
