that brace really takes away from a smooth flow. I would highly Suggest not doing that and using a double baffle. It will work but theres more to be had

 
I would change the blade on your table saw to a cross cut blade. It has more teeth and provides a cleaner glue surface cut. The propper blade for the job that is also SHARP is very important for geting a good crisp edge when dealing with sheet stock such as MDF>

 
it's only about 6 or 7 inches wide... the angle makes it look like wider, though. Theres still a good distance between either side of the brace and the wall. shouldn't cause any interruptions in airflow
