Work seems so pointless right now

How do you guys do this bullshit?

I just got a new job (thought i would be moveing up from target..)

Anyway, i make $6.50 an hour, they held my first week paycheck like usual, so this was for 2 weeks, says i worked 16.08 hours, made $104.22, after all the texes and the first check "right to work tax" ($10) i lost close to $40, now ive ended up with $76.82 for 16 hours, that seems like a lot longer, it seems like im wasteing more on gas getting to and from the place thats about a half an hour away then im makeing..

This is just a rant and i needed to complain to somebody but ****, anyone else in my situation?

I make $6.25 at McDonalds, the only thing to do is work your *** off, I get 55 hours on each paycheck (which is 2 weeks) and I get around $290 after taxes....

I made 5.25 an hour, at one of my old jobs.

The taxes they take out of your paycheck when you make so little ****.

Well im going to be getting more hours after the first couple weeks, so hopefully i should be makeing a bit more, but that means working even more, it just seems like i was doing a lot more hours and i should have made a lot more cash in the end...

Feels good to hear im makeing more money then somebody though lol.. i always think to myself just how cool it would be if i jus tmade like 25 cents an hour more..

Dang your guy's minimum wage is low. Ours is around 6.75 IIRC, but then again our cost of living is through the roof.

And yea, I know what you mean about menial jobs. Taxes/union fees took 1/3 of my check, which was already diminutive enough as it is. 20 hours = $135 - taxes/fees --> $90 check.

Be cool like me and mow lawns. Working about 6-8 hours a week I make over $200. Less now that I don't have nearly the same amount of work. But thats still enough to last me all winter with what I save up.

You guys need to look into being a computer technician. I could never work at mcd's or someplace like that, I would probably kill some customers. i work at mc donalds to and i get 70 hours on each pay check and only get a little over 300 305 if im lucky lol yay tommorows pay day i got concert tickets to pay for im going to see mudvayne on the 19th i got tickets already them im getting tickets for static x the 30th

thats all my money goes to is cigs gas and concerts
