Wondering what I should do...

I have pioneer premier 720prs components in my front stock locations hooked up to a sundown 100.4. They play very nice and clear. However, when I had my 13w7 in the rear the bass seemed to overpower my speakers and I did not really like that. I was looking into getting a new sub stage (FI BL fully loaded in 3 cubes) and I have a feeling the sub stage will overpower my speakers again.

I do not have any rear fill right now but I was wondering what options I have to make my front stage louder and clearer. I was looking into putting Hertz HSK 165 in the rear but I have a feeling that is completely the wrong thing to do.

Any suggestions on what I can do?

my suggestion is more power, but I don't think your comps should be drowned out like that if the gains are set properly on the amp.
they arent completely drowned out. I just feel they could be a little be louder and clearer.

Some will disagree, but I think you need 2 set up front instead of one. I've heard some QSD's barely keeping up with 1 13W7 in a Ford Excursion. I've heard 2 sets of Kicker KS comps in a Suv with the same sub, and it was way louder on the mids and highs. I know they aren't PRS level comps, but they get loud enough to not be drowned out by most subs. I'm not recommending Kicker, but just to get 2 of your choice. I talked to an RE Tech one time and he recommended 3 Re comp sets just for a front stage. Some will disagree, but I've never heard one set keeping up with extreme bass. They always got drowned out.

The sub is supposed to blend with the front, not the other way around. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

add more to front stage(dash mount )

i have

2 3 1/2 in dash

with 2 tweeters

2 5 1/2 (1 in each door)

2 stock 6/9 for rear

and 2 more tweeters in rear under the 6/9s

makes you ears ring...

I just noticed your sig. I learned to drive on a '69 Nova with a 307. It was the first car I ever pitched sideways. Where did you find one with such low miles?
